Review: This classic tale that spans pre- and post-colonial Nigeria is a Nwudo favorite. This work of fiction is a story by a celebrated African author about colonization from the vantage point of those being colonized. This compelling story grabs you from the very beginning and holds you until the end. Our favorite part about this story is that it is told from a perspective rarely seen in literature about Africa. Achebe, who himself grew up mostly in Nigeria, but studied abroad, was the perfect person to tell this story. Nwudo gives this book 5 stars!
